Real Jeannie Bottles

Here's a pic of my two Jeannie bottles for Jenny since she showed some interest in the actual bottles. (click for larger)
The one on the right is the original Jim Beam whiskey bottle of the type that was used to craft the first season I Dream of Jeannie bottle. They cut the handle off and added an extension on the top before painting it. Apparently when the TV show was successful Jim Beam changed the mold of their bottle to reflect the Jeannie design. I got mine at the San Diego Comic-Con years ago before eBay existed but of course now these bottles can be found all over eBay...
Original bottle in red.
Revised bottle in smoke.
Another bottle in smoke.
Revised bottle with original label.
Of course they also have a lot of painted bottles on eBay as well, but they are mostly ceramic and the one I have is brass. I don't know what difference (if any) there would be in looks after painting. The brass one still has a removable stopper.
I got my replica from a place called Wicked Cool Stuff (at what I'm sure is a rip-off price, so be warned) but at the time i got it there were no replicas available on eBay.

Actually the bottle on the right is a 1973 Jim Beam bottle, the design of which was a modification of the 1964 smoked crystal Jim Beam bottle not the other way around. The 1964 Jim Beam bottle preceded the filming of the pilot of I Dream of Jeannie by several months.

The bottle on the left is a mass produced brass bottle which costs $10.97 in Mexico.

Here is a site with a lot of stuff about Jeannie bottle replicas,

That is true the bottle on the left is the original 1964 Jim Beam bottle without the handle.
I have one painted in what they call the first season bottle or the gold vines bottle.
The second season bottle which came after color came to T.V. is painted more colorful to keep up with color T.V. there is also a reunion bottle that was made for the T.V. movie of Jeannie 20 years later.
Also a trivia, The evil sister never had a bottle, only once was her bottle shown on the show for about 2 seconds and it was just a unpainted 1963 Jim Beam bottle.

Ok, if you want a original 1963 Jeannie bottle your best bet is to buy a real glass one and have an expert paint it for you.
I won my bottle on E-bay for $43.00 and got an expert to paint it for me for $100.00 and it's worth every penny.
I can get at least $250-$300 for it right now.
I also own 3 cerimic ones which are also nice and fun to paint yourself but really of not much value if any.
The Brass ones are also nice but very expensive and of not much value, so if you want one like the show it has to be on an orinal 1963 glass Jim Beam bottle, which you can find unpainted and if you're lucky painted already, but go with the real one!

THE FACTS ARE AS FOLLOWS REGARDING THESE TWO BOTTLES, NEITHER ONE THE BLUE OR THE BRASS GOLDEN VINES ARE AUTHENTIC JEANNIE BOTTLES THE BRASS IS PAINTED BY MARIO DELLA CASA IN ARIZONA WHERE HE BUYS HIS BLANK BRASS BOTTLES I DO NOT KNOW. TRUE WEB SITE WICKED COOL STUFF DOES CARRY HIS BRASS BOTTLES BUT THEY ARE NO WHERE NEAR A AUTHENTIC JEANNIE BOTTLE. DO SOME RESEARCH BEFORE POSTING ERRONIOS STATEMENTS ON THIS SITE. AND THE ORIGINAL JIM BEAM DECANTER USED ON THE TV SHOW IS A 1964, PRODUCED BY TC WHEATON GLASS IN NEW JERSEY, DONE TO PROMOTE CHRISTMAS SALES. THE BLUE DECANTER IS A SPECIAL EDITION JIM BEAM PRODUCED IN 1973 OR 1974.THAT IS WHEN THE JIM BEAM COMPANY INTRODUCED THE HANDLED VERSIONS BLUE CLEAR AND RED ONLY THE BLUE IS BLUE GLASS THE RED IS PAINTED WHICH IS WHY ARTIST DO NOT PREFER TO PAINT THEM AS THE PAINT FLAKES OFF. I OWN SOME BRASS BOTTLES WHEN I BOUGHT THEM I DID NOT KNOW ANY BETTER AFTER I DISCOVERED THE TRUTH THAT THE DIMENSIONS OF THE BRASS ARE NO WHERE CLOSE TO THE SAME AS THE 1964 JIM BEAM DECANTERS THANKS A HARD CORE I DREAM OF JEANNIE FAN IN CALIFORNIA SF BAY AREA

The BRASS BOTTLE YOU HAVE IS NOT MADE IN MEXICO, ITS MADE IN ARIZONA BUT THE HANDS OF MARIO DELLA CASA, AND MARIO DELLA CASA IS THE ONLY ARTIST EVER LICENSED BY SONY ENTERTAINENT TO CREATE THE AUTHORIZED BOTTLE, SO BEFORE YOU GIVE OUT INFORMATION, MAYBE IT SHOULD BE TRUTHFUL INFORMATION. THEY ARE HANDMADE AND HAND PAINTED BY MARIO DELLA CASA. HOW DO I KNOW THIS TO BE A FACT? I AM MARIO DELLA CASA OF JEANNIEBOTTLES.COM
