Nice. Simple and sexy. I like the way she's coming forward in space.

SEXY! Where DID she get those carpet burns on her knees?!

Don Shank said...

Matt, though I like the idea that she's flaunting her "carpet burns", my original intent was that she was putting rouge on her knees like some women/flappers did in the 20's. Very sexy.

Flapper dress

In addition to their irreverent behavior, flappers were known for their style. Flappers did away with their corsets and pantaloons in favor of "step-in" panties. Flapper dresses were straight and loose. Rayon stockings were attached to garter belts. Skirts rose to just below the knee allowing flashes of knee to be seen when a flapper danced or walked through a breeze, although the way they danced made any long loose skirt flap up to show their knees. Flappers powdered or put rouge on their knees to show them off when dancing.

Wow! "step-in panties" I love it! A much better inovation over the kind you put on over your head. :-P

I drew, inked, and painted this in Painter IX, which is what I use for all my drawing and painting. I use photoshop mainly for color correction and compositing etc.

HAHAHA!

She's got style, grace, panache. Sexy as all get out. I keep thinking she's just flipped her hair. Am I right? The gesture of the hand, the flow of the hair...

Stumbled upon your site by accident and really liked your arty doodles, especially the looseness of your style!...nice one.
