Vacation Bikini-Kurt Sketchbook

...and one palm tree at the bottom

We had a great time on our honeymoon. So great that I didn't spend as much time as I thought with my sketchbook :-D
I started out sketching the scenery but after a time I reverted to my same old antics.
I think I like the cream colored pages in my new sketchbook. Gives a soft look. The pure white pages scan so harsh.
Only filled 10 pages and the earlier stuff didn't make the cut for the blog. Had trouble with controlling the color on those and then just ditched my tiny portable watercolor palette for one I made myself with professional tube watercolors that I just squeezed into pans and let dry. Works great!

Sorry, one above was me :) I should have checked the spelling.

What I wanted to say is:

Nice works all around, I love the walking girl in bikini, a few posts down.

Cheers to your work.

These are amazing drawings!! I ALWAYS take my sketchbook when I travel and RARELY if ever draw in it. You have shamed me again to my very core with your diligence. Great color, very inspiring!

These are so great! Wow! I'm linking you up on my blog. Just did some watercolor yesterday for the first time in a while, nothing with so much character yet, though. I can't wait to go nuts. Nice tip on making your own cakes. The set I'm using is very small and the colors are limited.

Beautiful sketchbooks, Don, really cool. Remind me of Searle's colour inks. Nice to see Will Kane linked in your site - he and I chinwag over email occasionally, mighty fine artist. Keep up the top work, mate

The one with the blue cover has cream and white pages. It's a great sketchbook!
