Your color skills are part of why I went into painting.

I skimmed thru most of "The Art of UP" a while ago, and I was very impressed with all of the research that went into this film's art. I also had a hunch that Ellie's painting was actually a work of Romano's.

Wow!! just stumbled across your blog, and what a treat. I'm so excited to see all your fantastic sketches and design work for Up.
The house looks amazing. I love seeing all the original concepts to a film... i find it just as (and some times more) exciting than the actual finished film itself.
Thank you so much for sharing!! :)
(Im gonna link you to my blog, so imake sure to come by more often)
Best wishes and kindest regards,

Fun house Don. How many drawings must you have done to get there.

Yours? Beauty! More Blurprints. Could be a book for advanced Maya use, or 3D modeling etc.

I love the juxtaposition of your abstract, aesthetic work, and this crazy diagnostic of Carl's plumbing.

The note about the boards on the remodel-house makes my day. "(Not all boards have been replaced)" shows not only the technical details, but the story details in these drawings. It speaks to the fact that the look of the wood tells the story of a young couple without the financial resources to just "start all over". This is the kind of stuff that sets Pixar apart - truly awesome.
