My Head with Words Coming Out of It
I was interviewed by ABC World News the other day regarding my iPad paintings and it was just posted on their website. Check it out...

There are a few video clips of my paintings being created used in the interview. Hopefully I can get around to posting the full clips on YouTube sometime soon.

Very cool Don, and great to see/hear you talking about your paintings. I'm glad you talked about how some people get angry about Art made on and Ipad/Iphone, I got the same when I started painted on my Iphone few years ago, got all kind of nasty messages about how this is not art.
Really enjoyed watching your interview!
Best,
Stef
Congrats on the great interview, Don, and very nice exposure to the general public.
It's cool that you mentioned Picasso... I just went to the giant exhibit of his at the Seattle Art Museum. While there I paused for a long time in front of a very abstract, gray, geometric painting of his entitled, "Head of a Woman" (based on Dora Maar) from 1939 and thought to myself, "this could be one of Don's!" A nice connection from past to present. Also one of my favorites of the show.
Looking forward to the full youtube clips!
Dude- very cool. Happy Painting!
hey man this is cool!
heh-- I like how you're identified as "Don Shank- Artist" rather than "Pixar Artist". Makes you sound like some hippie painter :D
Congrats, btw!
THIS IS NOT ART!!!
Would you believe Fart?
You did such a great job in that interview! I did taped interview while back and it was THE MOST nerve-wracking thing I've ever done! You did a great job...personable and articulate. Your paintings turned out great!
Wonderful video! I always wanted to be an artist, but became a lawyer instead. It wasn't until the iPad came out that I really started to explore my creativity. I post regularly on Flickr under the screen name IPad Junkie. Please check out my photostream. I'm really glad I came across your blog. Great stuff!
