Lou Romano and I have done a few images together. I love when he paints my layout drawings!
The first time we ever worked together was this background key for Dave Wasson's cartoon short "Max & His Special Problem". I did the layout drawing and Lou painted it in Gouache and Pastel on black museum board.

Beautiful. Great layout, great color. That's probably my favorite cartoon short of recent vintage. Just solid all around. I had no idea you'd worked on it. Wasson, Shank, Romano, Jaques...no wonder it's so good.
